The Zellmer wellness foundation is 501c3 foundation that supports the education and research to help cure childhood diseases. The foundation has a research grant program to help organizations that research the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of childhood diseases. One individual the organization is supporting is Edward Damiano, Ph.D. from Boston University with his research to make automated blood glucose control. Edward Damiano is only one example of the organizations that have received grants. There are many events that help raise money and awareness for the organization including a bowling night for diabetes, a trick-or-trot half marathon/5K run and many other events. They not only provide grants to organizations, but also have a scholarship to help students with mental illness take brakes in their education without putting their scholarships on the line. One way to help this amazing organization is through monetary donations. The Zellmer Childhood Disease Foundation, NFP is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to support education and research related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of chronic childhood diseases.
