The Salvation Army is a Christian organization that provides relief to many disadvantaged people. With 7,546 centers across the United States, the Salvation Army is able to help local communities create community gardens, vocational services and utility assistance. The Salvation Army also has a wide variety of programs to give aid to many other adults and children: Prison Ministries, Adult Rehabilitation, Veteran Programs, Human Trafficking, Homeless Services, Youth camps and many more within the United States. The Salvation also provides international relief in times of an unexpected natural disaster, basic supplies to areas of extreme poverty, and treatments for diseases. Their goal is to create opportunities for a better way of life for the communities they serve.
